Smart Community Solutions was founded because we had a vision of bringing the benefits of modernization and efficiency projects to multifamily residences and commercial properties.

 

In 2020, we started working with a homeowners association (HOA) and provided a roadmap for modernization. As a direct result of our advice, the HOA realized 30% savings year-over-year on their common area utility bills. Their investment will be paid back within one year and their savings shall continue in the future. The HOA is considering further investments in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging as the next phase of their modernization project and we are articulating the benefits of a solar system.

As we started working more closely with property managers, we realized that there was a gap in financial planning and capital spending prioritization. We developed a financial solutions tool that will provide a framework for providing the annual budget, prioritizing capital spending, a 10-year financial roadmap, and an optimized HOA fee.

Our services go beyond savings. We understand that implementing energy efficiency and modernization projects is intimidating and time consuming for the HOA or a commercial property manager. Furthermore, the market that serves these clients is fragmented.  We are committed to helping our clients prioritize their modernization projects to maximize the value of their assets. We do this by understanding the "big picture". We seek to build partnerships that are beyond transactional relationships. Instead of solely targeting the "low-hanging fruits" like lighting upgrade projects, we tailor our service by delivering a comprehensive pathway with practical options and forward-thinking short and long-term strategies that will optimize the value of investments for clients.
